Daniel Shalala, PPJ, Week 5

  • Vicktor Clothes (70%) 6hrs
  • Madeline (90%) 5hrs
  • Total Hours: 11 hr

Positives: So this week was my birthday, so that was awesome! I was able to work on clothes and rigging leading up to the weekend which is good because I needed to do that. Madeline is just about done, all I need to do is export her from CLO 3d and put her into Maya to fix up her rig and she will be good. Vicktor will follow soon too, just need to get this finished

Vicktor’s clothes

Negatives: I wasn’t able to finish my models this week.

Looking Ahead: Finish these models and then help with other stuff

Chris Lucas, PPJ, Spring Week 5

  • Texture new scene items (80%) 7h 30m
  • Blood drip (100%) 30m
  • Total Hours: 8 hr

Positives: I solved the bug from last week where certain models weren’t showing up in the project, so that’s good. I also started first draft of the particle effect for dripping blood, down from the ceiling to create the puddle the player sees. Texture new scene items is at 80% because we have so many new models – this is a positive in one light, but means there’s more to go through on my end as well. Still a positive, but I wasn’t able to get to all of them this week.

Ellis’ mask and eye

Negatives: Task wasn’t 100% this week, which is also a negative, but I am using more procedural materials to get through the backlog.

Looking Ahead: Texturing more areas and adding in some VFX

Sydney Oswald, PPJ, Spring Week 5

  • Voice Lines into Unity: 5h
  • Fixing Ellis: 1h
  • Finalize Piano model: 3h
  • Finalize Machine model: 4h
  • Finalize Camera Model: 2h
  • Lineart for Poster: 2h

Total Hours: 17h

I had way too much fun with Ellis’s model.

Positives: More models to make our room look better! Also!!! Ellis. With. Eye. Thing. He’s in there and WAY less scary than our placeholder monstrosity. Our dialogue is IN. Full conversations can be HAD. New Piano. New Machine. New Stuff! Also art for the poster was done and now it looks pretty sick thanks to Joe!

Negatives: I lost a day over the weekend to GameFest (CONGRATS SONS OF RA!!!!) for work BUT made it up on Monday with no class. Also I broke Ellis’ face just a little bit.

Looking Ahead: Model whatever I am told to, model filler assets as needed, scream

Daniel Shalala, PPJ, Spring Week 4

Madeline clothes work: 9h
Voice Line recording: 30m

Total Hours: 9h 30m

I made Madeline super pretty, which is a very arbitrary way to describe her but I am very proud of the jacket I made in Clo 3d so I think it is somewhat warranted, or at least I hope that sentiment is. I also recorded the voice lines for the police chief so that is awesome! Saturday was probably the most productive day I ever had when it came to work, I was able to sit down and shell out the work needed to finish her clothes.MadelineOutfit

Hoooo boy, things really messed up this weekend. I wanted to finish Madeline by Monday but several things got in the way of that. I suffered a major migraine that debilitated me on Friday evening, shutting me out of commission for the entirety of the day after my classes were over which really sucks, I also had to go to my relatives for Easter Sunday so that basically erased my Sunday as an effective work day.

Looking Ahead:
Madeline and Vicktor, enough said.

Sydney Oswald, PPJ, Spring Week 4

  • Recording Sessions as scheduled: 4h
  • Database Entry: 3h
  • Voice Line entrance into unity: 2h
  • Fake Eye Model: 2h
  • Fix chair model: 30m
  • Modeling room fillers: 4h

Total Hours: 15h 30m

The correct way to UV a sphere.

Positives: The implementation of voice lines is well underway!! Full conversations are active in the scene now, the characters talk out loud with indirect hints to puzzles, and the player has access to all evidence they need to solve the crime! I’ve also finished up the fake eye model to hand off to Cris along with a few more models to fill the room.

Negatives: We’re sweating and its GO TIME.

Looking Ahead: Finish piano model, finalize all voice lines in the game, work on other filler models.
