Chris Lucas, PPJ, Spring Week 6

Tasks:

  • Texture new scene items (80%) 7h 30m
  • Total Hours: 7 hr 30m

Positives: One of the big things for this week re-sizing and baking the room layout to be a higher resolution. When I did that, I also took care of some other critiques of the room that needed revisiting. The glowing circuit lines, for example, were mostly procedural, and so I went in and touched them up, got rid of ones that made no sense, made sure they’re clean. I also reduced the amount of blood, and added a puddle under where the dripping from the ceiling was. I also textured the piano, and began doing materials for the Machine.

less busy circuits, + higher res
newer blood puddle + other side of room

Negatives: Mostly the ‘negative’ is still just that there’s a backlog, but I’m moving through it.

Looking Ahead: Texturing more areas and adding in some VFX

Sydney Oswald, PPJ, Spring Week 7

Tasks:

  • Finish Bar Model: 3h
  • Finish Machine Model: 30m
  • Finish Machine Container Models: 1h

Total Hours: 4h 30m

Positives: The bar is done! The machine model is done! The container models are done! WHOO! The rest of the team was amazing and took the sound work off me because I was dying. I’ll probably start helping Cris with textures or Joe with final showcase stuff now.

Negatives: This week was rough for personal reasons but I managed to get the models done I needed to.

Looking Ahead: help find sound effects, put out fires where needed, help anyone that needs it

Daniel Shalala, PPJ, Spring Week 6

Daniel Learns another Program

Tasks:

  • Finishing Madeline Clo: 5 hrs
  • Texturing Madeline: 10 hrs

Total Hours: 15 hr

Positives: Whelp, I did it. It only took a couple quarters but dear Madeline is finally finished. It was a long and arduous process, and I needed to learn two separate programs, but we finally did it. I used CLO3D to make her and Vicktor’s outfits and then brought her into substance painter to texture her.

Negatives: I had a tough time figuring out how best to texture these characters, but I eventually found out what I needed to do.

Looking Ahead: Vicktor

Sydney Oswald, PPJ, Spring Week 6

Tasks:

  • Modeled bar: 6h
  • Fixed the Piano: 30m

Total Hours: 6h 30m

Positives: We have a bar to replace the computer in our one room after deciding to move some furniture around. I’m almost done making a high poly version for Cris and then that will be ready to go! The bar will have hologram notes hidden in it as well as a bunch of stuff for players to throw around.

Week06_01Week06_02

Negatives: A midterm this week stole my time BUT I have a very clear list of tasks for next week, most of which can be finished in short amounts of time!!!! We’re closing in on cool stuff!

Looking Ahead: Balance voice audio, final machine cartridge models and control panel, combine and implement machine voice lines, make a small prototype object to put in unbroken display case any final bar models needed
